Surprise the driver changes didn`t help Skhul.thats where I have found most issues.in fact after all the tweeks know to man I eventually unplugged my firewire c ard & went back to USB.Shan mentioned a bit of a system cleanup (uninstalling programs you don`t use helps).Apologies if I`m talking about stuff you are already aware of but amont the long list of audio tweeks that are recommended, thgere are 2 that make a really big difference.#1 uncheck all the startup programs that you dont need running in the background (printers, scanners, camera stuff & all those little programs you dont need to keep the pc running (they dont go anywhere just stop rulling in the background & using resources).#2 Go to your system performance settings & make sure you are set for background services (not programs) as audio is a background service.I`m guessing you already did this stuff.but just in case.I`m rooting for you getting the music rolling again.Download Now FOCUSRITE USB ASIO 4.36.5 DRIVER Tumbleweed : Sun 27th May 2012 : 9 years ago So just asking if anyone knows if this is a soundcard problem or just something I'm doing wrong? cheers in advance RAM should also not a problem as laptop has 4gb and pc has 8gb. But in both my laptop and pc i dont have a dedicated soundcard but the laptop has worked. I don't understand why its and wondering if anyone knew if it has anything to do with needing a new soundcard. This made the under-runs go from 2000 to around 20 but it is still stuttering like mad. I've tried lowering the buffer length to the highest (8000 and something) and switching to the asio4all sound driver. It hits around 70% cpu load and crackles/stutters when playing a kick, a snare and a 3xosc. However when i put it on my pc (which has a 3.4 ghz quad in it) i was hoping for it to run a lot better than on my laptop but instead it is pretty much un-usable. Anyway on my laptop i use fl 9 and it never crackles and the cpu load rarely goes over 50% (this is a 2.0 ghz dual core and around 4 years old) and the buffer length is at the highest so that i can use it without annoying stuttering and crackling. Hey everyone, I decided to put fl studio onto my desktop instead of using it on my laptop because it over heats a lot now.
